According the the the PBS website, The Sweetest Sound, Mansker is surname number 18,300 in popularity in the U.S.; Minsker is not listed because the site ranks only the top 55,000 surnames culled from the Social Security Index. In the United States, most of us who bear the name Mansker -- and many Minskers -- can trace our ancestry to Ludwig Mäintzger, a young German immigrant, who stepped off of the ship Christian at the port of Philadelphia in September of 1749. This website contains all of the research, evidence, pictures, stories, historical accounts, resources, etc., that are available to document the descendants of Ludwig Mäintzger.
